Andrew T. Gilinsky
Shareholder and Advisor
I graduated from SUNY Albany in 1982 with my accounting degree, then went to Michigan State for my MBA in 1987. I spent time working with clients on tax planning and advisory work, and by 1994, I had earned my CFP designation. What I realized along the way was that I have a particular interest in seeing both sides of the picture: what makes sense for the business and what makes sense for the person running it.
Those two things don't always align perfectly, and that's where the planning gets interesting. I've worked with hundreds of clients on tax strategies over the years, helping them think through decisions at both the corporate and individual level. The goal is always to find the approach that works for their full situation, not just one piece of it.
I stay active in the community through my work with the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, where I serve as treasurer and volunteer on fiscal and tax policy issues. It's another way to stay engaged with what's happening locally and understand the challenges businesses and individuals are facing in the area.
